Mariam Majid

MARIAM MAJID is an award-winning writer and director. She is also a visual artist and spearheads the productions at WTP.

Mariam graduated with Distinction in both her Bachelors of Fine Arts and Masters in Filmmaking.

Beyond WTP, Mariam has also worked on numerous factual films for the British Council, Kingston University and the Stanley Picker Gallery as part of w.in.c, a female film collective. Her latest project is with renowned designer Ben Kelly on his non-narrative film, 'Future Ruins Future Archives'. Mariam is also Head of Fiction Programming for the London Breeze Film Festival.

ABID MAJID, Producer at WTP, is the CEO and founder of Featherstone Capital. After graduating from the London School of Economics, he started his investment banking career at Goldman Sachs in 1997.

Abid spent three years with multi award-winning and BAFTA-nominated film and documentary production company, SALON, as Executive Producer and Strategy Advisor. His most recent feature productions with them include: ‘This Is Joan Collins’ for the BBC; ‘Missile from the East’ for Apple TV; ‘Audrey’, released internationally through Universal Pictures and for Netflix and ‘Lioness’, for Amazon Prime.

Audrey (2021) – about the life & work of Hollywood and fashion icon Audrey Hepburn, released internationally through Universal Pictures and by Netflix in the U.S. It is directed by Helen Coan.

Missile from the East (2020) – the tale of East German motorcycle racer Ernst Degner, in a heart-stopping escape never-before-told; directed by Justin Stokes, it is financed by Night Train Media and Sky.

This is Joan Collins (2022) – A feature-length documentary on the life of one of the last surviving actresses from the golden age of Hollywood – Joan Collins. The film is directed by Clare Beavan and released by BBC.

Lioness (2021) – Directed by Helen Coen, for Amazon, a biographical portrait of Nicola Adams OBE, the double Olympic and WBO female boxing champion, and the first woman to ever represent England in boxing.
